I built this simple stool for my son to reach the sink.

The key to making these stools look good is to taper and angle the legs. Even slightly helps.

The pieces are connected with butt joints and cut nails.

The stool was unsafe because it slid on the tile so easily. I tacked on pieces of Vibram Cherry shoe rubber to the bottom of each leg. Now the stool does not slide at all.
